Vose Library is a nonprofit organization supported by our community.
Your donations, volunteer time, and gifts help us provide free books, programs, and services to Union, Maine and neighboring towns.
There are many ways to give back, find the one that’s right for you.
Why Your Support Matters
As a community library, we rely on the generosity of our neighbors to keep our doors open and our shelves stocked. Your support helps us:

- Deliver library materials to homebound residents

Donate Books
We gratefully accept donated books, audiobooks, DVDs, and puzzles in good condition.
Donated books may be added to our collection or sold in our “For Sale” section to raise funds for the library.
Donation Guidelines
We Accept:
- Books in good, clean condition (no mold, mildew, water damage, or strong odors)
- Fiction and nonfiction for all ages
- DVDs in working condition
We Don’t Accept:
- Magazines or encyclopedias
- Textbooks or outdated materials
- Items in poor condition
- Puzzles with missing pieces
How to Donate:
Drop off your donations at the library during open hours. If you have a large donation, please call ahead so we can prepare (207) 785-4733.
